Pre-election fireworks from Ghana main opposition NPP
Ahead of December's elections in Ghana, the campaign atmosphere is heating up with the two most dominant political parties---the ruling National Democratic Congress, NDC and the main opposition New Patriotic Party, NPP, going at each other’s throat.

However, in his state of the nation address to parliament last week, the Ghanaian leader outlined a long list of economic achievements, many of which centered on macro-economic stability and growth.
President Mills said despite world economic shocks, Ghana has recorded the highest ever growth rate in its history, which is approaching 14%.
But NPP’s flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo threw a challenge to President John Atta Mills to showcase his achievements over the past three years to Ghanaians to justify a second term.
WADR’s Accra Correspondent says the rally is considered by many political commentators as the biggest in terms of attendance in the history of Ghanaian politics.
