Polytechnic teachers in Ghana end strike

After being on strike for nearly three weeks now, Polytechnic Teachers in Ghana have resumed classes, amid weeks of serious disruption in the  academic calendar.

They resume lectures on Monday, after few weeks of calls by the Ghanaian government and students for an end to their industrial action.

The teachers staged their strike action because of what they termed “disparities” in their salaries.

But what has made them change their stance?
