Mass sackings,suspensions of Sierra Leone police for “misconduct”

In Sierra Leone, there have been mass sackings and suspensions of police officers.

Over the weekend, authorities announced that nearly 1,030 police officers were sacked and suspended for various “professional misconduct”.

As WADR’s Freetown Correspondent Mohamed Konneh reports, the action comes after a series of investigations, but the authorities did not say exactly when it took place.
